Before starting therapy, Rachael offers a free screening to determine whether or not a full evaluation is required. If your child’s screening does indicate the need for an evaluation, one can be conducted to determine their strengths and weaknesses and create a plan of care that addresses challenges while building on their strengths and abilities. If your child does not qualify for speech therapy after their evaluation, we offer Parent and Caregiver Coaching to help you as the guardian know how to best work with your child’s language and speech development at home.

How can I be involved with my child’s speech therapy?

We love parent involvement at Find My Voice Therapy in St. Pete. It’s very beneficial to the child and their progress when parents are able to participate in speech therapy. This helps you and your child become more familiar with working together on their skills outside of the therapy setting and builds confidence for you and your child.
